• BOY TOYS: BKM INTRODUCES BENELLI AND KEEWAY BIKES IN MALAYSIA

    Benelli Keeway Motorcycles Sdn Bhd (BKM) aims to sell up to 500 units a month for its five new motorcycle models this year.

    The company which opened its assembly plant in Bukit Beruntung today, will initially focus on the Klang Valley before expanding to other states.

     

    "After things start to progress after few months, then we'll start to sell outside Kuala Lumpur. Most important thing Kuala Lumpur is close to us, we want to provide them the service. At the moment we do not want to commit ourselves with too much figures so we'll see how things progress," said On Hai Swee, Chief Executive Officer, BKM.

    He was speaking to reporters after the launch of Benelli Keeway Motorcycles assembly plant this morning by International Trade and Industry Minister, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.

    During the launch, Benelli Keeway has unveiled 5 new models which will be sold between RM7,000 to RM70,000.

    The company also hands over 2 motorcycles to the Royal Malaysian Police stationed at Bukit Beruntung.

    The five new models are Benelli TRe1130K, Benelli TnT899, Keeway Dorado 250, Keeway TX200G dan Keeway RKV200G.

    Benelli is a renowned Italian motorcycle brand while Keeway is an European registered brand under QianJiang Group of China.

    BKM will open its showroom and service centre in Kuala Lumpur this September.

    There are also plans to export the motorcycles to the Asean market after two years.
