Egyptian Protesters crowded into narrow streets outside the US Consulate in Alexandria on Sunday, hours after it was formally opened by the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Throwing tomatoes, water bottles and shoes at Clinton's motorcade, the protestors are accussing the U.S. of interfering with local matters as Clinton sought to stake out a middle ground in the current Egyptian power struggle.
