A group of foreign prostitutes who used social networking sites to look for clients, were nabbed in a raid by police at a four-star hotel in Taman Maluri, Cheras last night.
In the 9pm anti-vice operation 16 Chinese nationals, a Mongolian, an Indonesian and a Thai were held in their rooms after undercover police exposed their illicit activities.
Initial investigation revealed the women, who paid 170 ringgit daily for the rooms, provided sexual service at an exorbitant rate, to at least four clients a day.
Also found in the rooms were dozens of condoms and sexual paraphernalia.
All those detained, aged 19 to 25, were taken to Cheras police district headquarters for further action.
