Deputy Information, Communications and Culture Minister, Datuk Maglin Dennis D'cruz suggested that harmonicas be re-introduced in schools as part of students co-curricular activities.

He said this could prevent students from getting involved in immoral activities and at the same time keep them healthy.

"This is good for them. Nowadays, a lot of youngsters are suffering from all kinds of diseases, including diabetes, due to lack of exercise," said Datuk Maglin.

The harmonica festival is a major event in Asia which is being held from August 3rd to 6th.

The event, held every two years in different Asian countries since 1996, has attracted enthusiasts from all over the world.
