From one scam to another, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Lee Chee Leong has called on the public to look out for imposters posing as agents imposing a fee to expedite citizenship application.

He said this is merely a scam as the government has never appointed any agents.

The bogus agents would prey on those anxious to obtain their citizenship.

The ministry had received a complaint from a citizenship applicant who was duped of 30,000 ringgit by three swindlers early last month.
