A company director pleaded not guilty at the Shah Alam Sessions Court today, for allegedly cheating a businessman out of 1.2 million ringgit two years ago.
51 year old Norhuda Mahat, claimed trial, after the charge was read to her, before Judge Aslam Zainuddin.
She is accused of committing the offence against Datuk M. Azmi Md. Amin, by dishonestly promising a 15 per cent return on investment, for the money invested by the businessman.
This led the victim to make three deposits to the accused's bank account on November 12, 2010, as well as March 23rd and 30th, last year.
The offence was allegedly committed at her company, Adda Prima Technologies Sdn Bhd at Kompleks PKNS, Shah Alam in April 2010.
Aslam granted Norhuda 60 thousand ringgit bail with one surety, and fixed June 14 for remention.
