Former Women, Family and Community Development minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil told the KL High Court today that she only knew about her family's involvement in the National Feedlot project in 2007 months after the project was awarded to Agroscience Industries Sdn Bhd.

In today's hearing of a 100 million ringgit defamation suit against PKR Wanita chief Zuraida Kamaruddin and the party's strategic director, Mohd Rafizi Ramli, Datuk Seri Shahrizat also said she did not know about the bidding of the project.

And that she only found out sometime in 2007 after her husband NFCorp Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Salleh Ismail informed her that he intended to have their three children return from abroad to help with it.

The Wanita Umno chief, filed the suit on January 19th, claiming that the defendants held press conferences at various locations and had orchestrated the attack against NFCorp, her husband and family.

The hearing resumes on September 18th.
