Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak today, slammed Perak DAP chairman Ngeh Koo Ham for his statement questioning the intentions of UMNO Youth organising a protest against the anti-Islam film, Innocence of Muslims.
He also described Ngeh's statement as disrespectful and insensitive towards Malaysian Muslims.
Meanwhile, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng has declined to provide further comment on the matter.
Lim, who also serves as Penang Chief Minister, asked instead that his statement on the issue, sent out on September 16, be published by the media first.
In his statement, Lim said DAP strongly condemned the film, which it considered not only lacking in sensitivities but was clearly meant to incite religious sentiments.
