During the launch of the Jelajah Janji Ditepati program, Tan Sri Muhyiddin stressed that maintaining racial unity in the country is a promise made by the government that has been kept.
He said the policies implemented had successfully fostered and strengthened unity among the people of the various races and religion.
The deputy premier also pointed out that the cooperation and unity among the people had made Malaysia a model for other countries.
And reminded that problems arising from religious and cultural differences would have a negative impact on the government's effort to develop the country and bring prosperity to the people.
As such, the government would not allow anyone with vested interests to cause racial uneasiness in the country.
At the event, Tan Sri Muhyiddin visited several booths such as Telekom Malaysia and Woman, Family and Community Development Ministry.
He also went to the Menu Rakyat 1Malaysia booth for lunch.
