Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has congratulated the newly elected Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, over his victory in the recent presidential election.

The premier, in his congratulatory message said, Morsi's triumph is a clear testimony of the Egyptians' confidence towards his leadership and political vision.

Morsi was declared Egypt's new President last Sunday, after narrowly defeating rival Ahmed Shafiq, by garnering 51.7 percent of the votes.
