Four men were nabbed by security guards in their attempt to prey on patrons at the car park of a shopping complex in Bandar Utama in Petaling Jaya, Selangor last night.
In the 10pm incident the suspects, who were locals, were spotted acting suspiciously in a Proton Wira on the fourth floor of the car park by a group of security guards, who then tried to stop the vehicle.
Realizing their movement has caught the attention of the security guards, the suspects tried to escape but was blocked by other cars at the scene.
The car then sped off against the traffic flow, ramming into several other vehicles, until they were stuck on a divider in the car park.
The security guards then detained the four suspects and handed them over to the police.
Initial investigation by police also revealed that the car used by the suspects was stolen in Sungai Buloh.
Two parangs were also found in the car boot.
