MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek took a swipe at the Selangor Menteri Besar today for failing to turn up at a debate on the Talam Corp debt restructuring exercise.
He said as the state leader it is Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim's responsibility to debate on the issue and not send others to speak on his behalf.
He added that Tan Sri Khalid's no show also proved that the Pakatan Rakyat led state government was not being transparent and not willing to face the truth.
MCA Young Professionals Bureau chief, Chua Tee Yong had invited the Selangor MB to debate over the Talam issue last night.
Tan Sri Khalid had instead appointed four representatives PJ Utara MP Tony Pua, his political secretary Faekah Hussin, Kuala Selangor MP Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad and Selayang MP William Leong to counter the Talam issues.
The Pakatan Rakyat entourage walked out after Chua pointed out that he wanted to have a debate with Tan Sri Khalid and not his spokesmen.
