A 68-year-old man fell to his death, from the fourth floor of the Penang Hospital early today.

According to Timur Laut district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Gan Kong Meng the senior citizen, Tan Jit Wan, had gone through neck cancer treatment at the hospital for a week.

And had been complaining to the nurses and doctors, that he could not withstand the pain he was suffering anymore.

Several patients and nurses had seen him standing and looking pensive by the window next to his bed, prior to the fall.

It was the second time such an incident had occured at the hospital.

Police have classified the case as sudden-death.

The victim's body was sent to the forensics department of the hospital, for post-mortem.
