A Zambian national was sentenced to death by the Shah Alam High Court for drug trafficking.

Nachilongo Doreen was found guilty of trafficking 1.3 kilograms of syabu at the KLIA arrival hall on February 23rd last year.

The drugs were found hidden inside a secret compartment of the accused's luggage.

Judge Noor Azian Shaari ruled that the defence had failed to raise reasonable doubt in the case.

She also said the accused's testimony that the drugs were put inside the luggage by a third party was merely an after thought.
