National track cyclist Azizulhasni Awang has qualified for the second round of the men's keirin competition.

The "Pocket Rocketman" came second in his heat with France's Mickael Bourgain pipping him to the top spot.

He will face an uphill task in the next round at 11:30pm, after being drawn together alongside defending Olympics keirin champion, Chris Hoy.

Over at the aquatics centre, national diver Ken Nee Yeoh just scraped through to the finals of the Men's 3 metre springboard.

He finished in twelfth place, and will be diving in the finals later, at 2am.
