Malaysia's squash queen Datuk Nicol David is on track to defend her Australian Open title after advancing to the decider with a dominant semi-final victory today.
The world No.1 overpowered 2010 champion Madeline Perry 11-7, 11-4, 11-5 to set up a clash with England's Laura Massaro in Sunday's final.
Nicol was in red-hot touch against the Northern Irishwoman, who later admitted she was outclassed despite going into the semi-final in great form.
Nicol boasts a commanding record against her final opponent, having beaten Massaro 15 times out of the 17 occasions they've met.
However, the Englishwoman's two victories came in major tournaments in 2011 - at the Malaysian Open and Singapore Masters.
