In football, Bayern Munich defender Breno was convicted on aggravated arson charges at a German court on Wednesday and was sentenced to three years and nine months in jail.

The 22 year old Brazilian was taken into custody after the verdict was delivered after being found guilty of setting his rented villa on fire in the affluent Munich suburb of Gruenwald last year.
