My Help Page
Hi there!
Is it time for us to help?
Here you can find links and answers to all you need to know when online with us. Don’t worry if you’ve never watched videos online or even have email – we’ll keep it simple and sweet and get you on your way to video fun quickly and easily.
Tech Specs:
Right the hard stuff out the way now.
- Minimum Specs
To best enjoy our site, we recommend the minimum requirements:
1. PC
Pentium 90 or better with a minimum of 32 MB RAM and Windows 95, or NT 3.5.1
2. Mac
PowerPC with System 7.1 and 32 MB RAM
3. Connection Speed
We have to say sorry to our dial up friends, as a minimum recommendation for smooth video viewing is a 512kbps broadband connection and for those on 1Mb or more, rock on!
4. Browsers
We love Mozilla Firefox and it’s free, if that isn’t your thing; AOL, Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 will all do too.
5. Screen Resolution
1024 X 768
6. Players
Adobe Flash Player
Tech Issues:
- The video isn’t working! What shall I do?
Our videos work via Flash players, so first make sure you have the latest downloaded. You can do so quickly and for free
- The video keeps stopping to buffer, what can I do?
Those annoying stops and starts are usually due to network congestion, meaning there’s not enough bandwidth to stream the video you want. Buffering is when the video server stores data to the buffer for a few seconds so that if your network slows, it will continue to play. Hopefully, during that time the video server and the player can catch up and continue playing. We test daily through different ISP connections all our videos to make sure they are watchable but cannot guarantee a smooth connection for all.
- Tweaks to prevent constant buffering:
Check your net connection and the speeds that you are receiving. Our videos are compressed between 250 – 320kbps so a 512kbps Internet connection technically should be fine as long as you aren’t on P2P applications (they eat up bandwidth), gaming, chat applications or downloading through other sites. Close those first if having problems.
- Contact your Internet Service Provider -
TM Streamyx and Celcom Broadband: 100

Time: 603 2730 5287
iZZi (Wireless Broadband): 1 800 888 638
Celcom Broadband: 1300 111 000 - if you are expecting a higher bit rate but are not receiving it. There could be problem with your connection or known network congestion in your area
- Sound Problems
1. No Sound?
Make sure your audio is not on mute and that you have the latest codecs for your player. We recommend this for the latest codec list.
2. Sound plays too fast
Does the audio sound like a chipmunk? Try updating your flash player or reinstalling it again. The latest Adobe Flash Player update is version 9.0.124.0. If you have earlier versions, this may result in the distorted audio. To get your update click here
Frequent user tip*
You can also open videos in separate tabs to let one video download first. Another option is to click pause and let the video download before clicking play.
Have patience. Hot episodes, like live finals or last episodes of the season might have a lot of people clicking on the links to watch.
- I can’t see the Chinese Characters when I want to post a comment, why?
If you are seeing funny little squiggles on your screen, then all you need to do is encode it. Just check via your IE browser, click ‘view’ on your file bar, scroll down to ‘encoding’ and then choose the language you want. You can either choose traditional or simplified or even Unicode to read all.

- I see your website but what is what?
Our websites are super easy to use. Easily defined, they always (from top to bottom) show what programme is on TV at that moment and what programme is next.
