PRELUDE AIM17 PAYS TRIBUTE TO MALAYSIA’S AWARD-WINNING STARS

Leading up to Malaysia’s most prestigious music awards show – the 17th Anugerah Industri Muzik – ntv7 pays tribute to four artistes who have bagged the most trophies by dedicating a four-episode series, Prelude AIM17. Making its debut on the 8th of April at 9:00 p.m., the half-hour show honours Malaysia’s number one singer, Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza; the industry’s most respected singer-composer, known as “Sifu” M. Nasir; jazz queen Dato’ Sheila Majid and pioneer of rock music, Amy & Search.

ntv7’s latest drama series, Glowing Embers!
|
Glowing Embers, a brand new drama filled with love, betrayal and deceit comes to ntv7’s all-time favourite Local Hong Drama belt starting 10th March 2010, every Monday to Thursday at 10.00pm. Revolving around the little known charcoal industry in Taiping, Perak, this intense series promises strong story lines with dramatic twists with excellent performances by the cast members. With Debbie Goh, Frederick Lee, Wymen, Wang Jun, Yenn Teoh, Henley Xu, Melvin Sia, Roby, Jamie and Pei Jie at the helm of the series, this ntv7 co-production with Double Vision, Glowing Embers is set to capture the hearts and attention of viewers.

ntv7’s Mandarin Battle Star begins!
|
Aspiring young scholars nationwide sweated it out at Written Tests held in Johor Bahru, Ipoh, Kajang, Kuala Lumpur and Penang last weekend – all for a chance to battle it out on ntv7’s new educational talk show Mandarin Battle Star. Mandarin Battle Star is the nation’s first ever TV game show featuring Chinese primary school students outdoing each other in their Mandarin language and general knowledge skills to emerge as the best. Endorsed by the Ministry of Education, and sponsored by BESTA and co-sponsored by HSBC, the fun and educational one-hour 13-episode variety show is slated to air on Sundays, 7.00 p.m. starting 16th May 2010.

There are lots of support given by the fans who enjoyed themselves by participating in exciting games and activities and autograph session with the iron Lady’s casts.

In conjunction with the Lunar New Year festivities, ntv7 together with 8TV invited the Kun Seng Keng Lion and Dragon Dance Association from Muar, Johor to perform at Sri Pentas. Dubbed as the ‘World Lion Kings’, this troupe also happens to be world champions.

On 22nd November 2008, celebrities spent their afternoon at the second annual Chocolate Cake Championship at the Concourse of Great Eastern Mall in Kuala Lumpur. 14 five-star hotels took part in this championship, where their pastry chefs had to present their best and most creative chocolate cakes.

Lauded by all due to the channel’s exquisite and fun booth, The 7 Patrol took part in plethora of activities including The 7 Patrol’s stage appearances as ‘Phua Chu Kang’. Phua Chu Kang Sdn Bhd is slated to be aired on ntv7, next year.
