Ala Carte, the all-time favourite television cooking programme on ntv7, is back with an all-new variety of local and international dishes throughout its 13 episodes. Ala Carte season 3 will air every Wednesday, 7.30pm starting 27th July 2011.

With a refreshed look and feel that includes host, Chef Norman Musa, the show promises engaging segments and mouth-watering recipes. The show continues with its trademark laidback, urban feel with mainly unscripted scenes. The chef will be hosting a variety of guests that include celebrities and expatriates to cook favourite local or international recipes.

This season will feature the guests selecting and purchasing the ingredients for their dishes after discussion with Chef Norman. The next segment will show some of the guests’ most treasured memories before moving on to the making of the dish with the chef.  The last segment will feature the guests enjoying the meal.

This season’s concept gives viewers an up close and personal look into the lives of the guests among whom are Ning Baizura, Jonathan Putra, Sharon Bakar, Sasha Bashir, Naz, Steve Thornton and Juliana Evans. Expatriates are also featured on the show and the chef will help them recreate their favourite dish from their home country.

Chef Norman is a talented self-taught chef who owns the successful Ning restaurant in the United Kingdom. Apart from being an Executive Chef, Norman also runs a cookery school at his restaurant, specializing on authentic Malaysian dishes. The former quantity surveyor has been shortlisted for the Manchester Chef of the Year Award at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival. His restaurant Ning was also shortlisted for Manchester Restaurant of the Year.

Chef Norman has also published his book of recipes, Malaysian Food, in the U.K, with an updated edition specially designed for the Malaysian market published in April 2010. He has made numerous appearances on television such as demonstrating his Nyonya Lime Curry recipe to Rachel Allen on the Good Food Channel and Gordon's Great Escape with Gordon Ramsay.

“Ala Carte season 3 has a more laidback look and feel, focusing not only on recipes but also giving viewers a more intimate look into the lives of the featured guests,” says producer, Aeizul Reeza Ismail. “With Chef Norman on board, viewers can certainly expect amazing dishes and an entertaining show.”

The simple and easy-to-follow dishes given the Chef Norman touch plus his affable personality will make good cooking look easy, and even fun and enjoyable. Catch the new Ala Carte season 3, every Wednesday, 7.30 pm starting 27th July only on ntv7, your Home Of Feel Good. Lots of new recipes are waiting for you to try!
